Luna CratesFor the safe and secure transport of equipment and supplies, ruggedized crates are employed by each side of the conflict. They're generally tough enough to withstand vaccuum and resist weapons fire. These crates in particular saw service in the experimental and highly classified European, US, and Soviet space programmes. In one infamous incident, a supply drop of sensitive NACA gear was strewn across a crater field, leading to a mad scramble to recover them before American mission security was completely compromised. Not surprisingly, you'll find these specially-marked crates on moon missions such as Luna. Unmarked or slightly altered versions might be around everyday maps as well. These are not powerup crates, but rather serve as general decorations or work as collectibles for meeting objectives. Model by ChopBam, texture by Chronojam. ![]() |

Just a reminder for people before you all start asking questions. NACA is the National Advisory Committee for Aeronautics, the pre-cursor of NASA.
Likewise, the ESRO (European Space Research Organisation) is also the pre-cursor of todays ESA, European Space Agency. |

Excellent crates. Very detailed.
Just one thing: The NACA-ESRO crate thumbnail links to the Soviet one. |

And for those who would wonder why, remember that having no World War II with Germany (because Einstein at the beginning of Red Alert went back in time and erased Hitler from time) would change things. I especially like how you did that, because I even have fits with Westwood for not putting more of a historical accuracy of an alternate universe, though I understand they are not historians or in-depth story nerds. This is exactly what I wanted to see. Although a battle in the moon in the first place has canonical issues, but what the heck! As if giant ants were canon either. |
